Campaign to Fight cuts to DUWC
In 2018 The Derbyshire Unemployed Workers’ Centres won the ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Voluntary Sector’ award at the Volunteer Centre Awards night at the Pomegranate in Chesterfield.
The Tories at North East Derbyshire District Council have rewarded us with a total grant cut of £22,377. DUWC have lauched a campaign to raise £22,000 to offset this vicious attempt to deny access to help, advice and representation for the people of North East Derbyshire and silence the organisation that gives a voice to those on benefits, low pay and insecure work.
