What would you say if you met Caesar in a lift in Sheffield in the 1980s? The miners’ strike is ongoing and Caesar doesn’t know himself. Then the lift breaks. A union man and a university professor are among the characters trying to work out what’s going on with the lift, their lives and society in general. And how to call the engineer.
