David Jones / Joe Green Memorial Event 2023

The Annual David Jones and Joe Green Memorial event will take place at the Miners Offices in Barnsley on Saturday 11th March 2023. It is important we remember David and Joe, miners who paid the ultimate price in defence of their communities, jobs and Trade Union.

The Orgreave Truth and Justice Campaign will be present to lay a wreath at 10.45am and people are invited to gather from 10am. The Wreath Laying Ceremony will be followed by the Memorial Lecture with speakers – Bill Adams, Regional Secretary, Yorkshire & The Humber TUC and Sarah Woolley, General Secretary, Bakers, Food and Allied Workers Union.
