Call for help – Contacts at Bedwas Workers Club

The campaign has received the following email from Jake Saville:

I’m a final year student doing a project about South Wales, specifically looking at the community that survives after the closure of the mining industry.

In my research I’ve found some archive photos of Bedwas workers club and the surrounding area. I would love to share these photos with the people of South Wales and the Mining community and maybe try and find some of the people in the photos – so I wonder if anyone in this network knows anyone in the area – or someone who goes to the workers hall, which still seems very active, who I can meet with so I can learn more about past and present – and maybe even find the people in the photos!

I would really appreciate any idea/contacts about mining in South Wales and maybe in the workers club that can help me with my project and studies. I am making a trip to Wales next week (16th-19thNovember) with many more trips to follow after this until project hand in spring next year, possibly continuing with the story after the hand in also.

If you have any information it would be greatly appreciated and the easiest ways to contact me are as follows:

Jake.
