if you did not live in one of the close mining communities in Co. Durham, Yorkshire or Wales you will never understand what this enquiry means to those of us who do, the sheer injustice of media coverage which portrayed the miners and their families as little more than vermin to the rest of the country who seemed to believe that they brought about the violent behaviour of the police, who were encouraged and lured by offers of high payment and overtime to travel from all parts of the country, including the Met. By the Thatcher Government and put up in expensive hotels in order to persecute the miners. On that dreadful day at Orgreave the police overpowered the miners by 3 ton1, the rest of the country who choose to blame the miners need to know the truth…..we need JUSTICE!
